F&Q

Bunny Diet

For our bunnies we give them unlimited hay preferably timothy hay & unlimited water in a bowl because bunnies do drink tons of water & water bottles limit how much water a bunny actually drinks. Our bunnies also receive 1/4 cup of pellets in the morning and 1/4 cup of pellets at night. Bunnies can have treats occasionally, but this should not be given more than a few times a week. We recommend giving bunnies fresh vegies at the age of 6 months. There are a ton of vegies bunnies can eat. I recommend leafy greens like romaine lettuce, cilantro, parsley, and kale which are great options and there are a ton of other options, so my best advice is to figure out what your bunny likes and create your own veggie diet depending on what your bunny enjoys. Bunnies are super happy for treats so i would recommend occasionally offering your bunnies a treat just to make them extra happy. Apples, berries, bananas, and carrots are some treats that I recommended but like stated I highly recommend doing your own research and just testing out what works best for your bunny. Every bunny is different and sometimes what one bunny loves another bunny will absolutely dislike.

Genders

Both male and female bunnies make absolutely great pets. In my own personal experience, I've never seen a difference in behaviors when it comes to a specific sex of a bunny. I have males and females and both genders are equally sweet and extremely social.

When it comes to housing bunnies together bunnies can become territorial of their space so if you plan on having two bunnies I would highly recommend having enough space for the bunnies to run around Freely. If you have two females I would recommend getting both of them fixed to reduce the chances of them fighting and same goes for two males or opposite sex.

Cage sizes & housing

Bunnies need a lot of room to roam around and play. Everyone is entitled to their own setup and I will not be the one to criticize or police anyone and how they choose to home their bunny. I will just recommend if you choose to let you bunny or bunnies free roam you need to make sure they are out of reach of important items that could cost you alot of money or even potentially hurt the bunnies. Bunnies love to chew so make sure the bunny has alot of toys to get him or her stimulated and occupied. Bunnies can be just like a new puppy who isn't house broken so that is definitely important.

Minimun size is 6ft x 2ft (12sq ft ). Puppy playpens are really great for bunnies because it has the height and size to keep you bunny satisfied. I would recommend something high like a playpen because bunnies tend to jump out. If you don't have a playpen I would get something with a cover to help reduce the chances of your bunny jumping out.

Grooming and bathing

Bunnies are very clean and actually can be liter trained. We recommend getting a cat sized litter box and putting either paper based or wood pellets inside with hay which can help train your bunny to use the bathroom inside the litterbox.

When it comes to bathing bunnies should not be bathed because it can cause them to go into shock which would be extremely unfortunate. We do understand accidents can happen and 9 times out of 10 the bunny will clean itself. If there is a situation where you need to help clean your bunny, I would recommend getting a baby wipe or warm rag and gently wiping away any dirt or accidents. Make sure the bunny isn't damp because this can cause them to get really cold so I would make sure the area is pretty dry.

When it comes to grooming in this case for holland lops I would recommend brushing your bunny often because they tend to shed a lot.

Bunnies' teeth can grow very long and cause health issues and extreme discomfort for the bunny so I recommend making sure your bunny gets unlimited hay every day to help grind down its teeth and also have a decent supply of toys to chew on which will also help with grinding down your bunnies' teeth. Bunnies' nails should also be clipped often. Bunny clippers are recommended to clip your bunnies' nails.
